My New Installation references snap shots I found of the New Orleans World's Fair. I was raised in Baton Rouge and the fair was much anticipated by locals who thought the global event would elevate Louisiana's second-class cultural status. Unfortunately, and inevitably the fair was a failure. Rife with corruption the New Orleans World fair was the only world exposition to declare bankruptcy. My installation explores both the memory of one individual visitor as well as the overall pathos associated with the World Fair's financial ruin.
